Don’t Do Faith Alone: Why Small Groups Matter at Mosaic

At Mosaic Church, we believe church is more than a Sunday service. It is a family. It is a place to grow. It is a community where people know your name.
Small Groups begin February 22nd. And this semester could change your life.
You Were Never Meant to Walk Alone
It is easy to attend church and still feel disconnected.
You can sit in a row and never be known.
You can worship in a crowd and still feel unseen.
But that is not the picture we see in the New Testament. The early church met in homes. They shared meals. They prayed for one another. They carried each other’s burdens.
Faith was personal. And it was communal.
If you want more than inspiration…
If you want transformation…
Small Groups are your next step.
Small Groups Align With How We Grow
At Mosaic, everything we do flows through our four discipleship pillars:
Know God. Find Community. Discover Purpose. Make a Difference.
Small Groups help you live all four.
Know God.
In a small group, Scripture moves from abstract to personal. You can ask questions. Wrestle with doubt. Hear how others are applying the Word in real life. Growth happens when we engage, not just listen.
Find Community.
You were created for connection. Real discipleship happens in circles, not just rows. When someone texts you to check in. When someone prays for your family by name. When you celebrate answered prayers together. That is community.
Discover Purpose.
Many people do not know their spiritual gifts because they have never had space to practice them. In a small group, you may find you are gifted in encouragement. Or hospitality. Or teaching. Community reveals calling.
Make a Difference.
Healthy groups do not stay inward. They serve. They care for one another. They invite others in. Your small group can become a place where faith turns into action.
Small Groups are not an extra program.
They are a pathway for discipleship.
What Could This Semester Look Like for You?
Imagine this:
You show up on February 22nd to your first group meeting.
You feel nervous. But you are welcomed.
Someone offers you coffee.
You sit down and begin to share.
By week three, names feel familiar.
By week six, prayer requests feel personal.
By the end of the semester, you realize something changed.
You are not just attending church.
You belong.
Some groups meet in homes.
Some meet at church.
Some meet around shared interests.
And yes—our weekly Zoom Bible Study is a Small Group too. If your schedule is full. If childcare is hard. If you travel. Zoom is still community. You can log in from anywhere and still grow with others.
There is space for you.
And if you look through the list and do not see a group that fits your schedule or interest, we want to hear from you.
Maybe you are the one God is calling to lead.
You do not have to be a Bible expert. You just have to be willing. We will equip you. We will support you. We will walk with you.
Sometimes the group you are waiting for is the group you are meant to start.

Maybe your next step is not just coming on Sunday.
Maybe your next step is sitting in a circle.
Maybe your next step is saying yes to community.
You were never meant to grow alone.
You were never meant to carry life by yourself.
You were created for connection.
This semester, let’s move from attending to belonging.
From listening to engaging.
From watching to participating.
Small Groups start February 22nd.
We cannot wait to see what God does in and through you.
